My laptop specification Acer Aspire 5051 ANWXMi:
- AMD Turion 64 (2.0Ghz, 512 KB L2 cache)
- ATI Radeon Express 1100
- 80GB HDD (split into two partitions: 20 & 60GB)
- DVD R/W
- Wi-Fi - Atheros
- Bluetooth
As common installation, there are four main steps:

As the result, windows 7 installed. First impression, it has very good interface, rich of programs.
Pros:
- Windows 7 support a lot of drivers, my laptop was working well. However I need to install some drivers to make it perfect, such as memory card and video. It's an easy job, open the Device Manager, right click on the devices need to update, direct to CD drive inserted with Acer driver, and it's done.
- New and enhance software compare with XP make it nicer. I don't need to install much third party software. Enhance ms paint, backup maintenance, Windows Mobility Center, etc. make Windows 7 stronger than before
- And the most great one, Windows 7 as light as Windows XP. Different with Windows Vista which consume lots of resources, Windows 7 can be used in my laptop without need additional hardware upgrade
- Most programs that run in Windows XP can run also in Windows 7.
Cons:
- Activation. Windows 7 should be activate using internet connnection, otherwise it can be used for 30days only. I know, there is no free lunch anyway :)
- Internet Explorer 8 bundled in Windows 7 does not stable enough. This program has crashed two times when I open some tabs. For this reason I decided to install Mozilla Firefox 3.5
